The Get Nigerian Businesses Online (GBNO) programme a joint initiative of Google and its Nigerian partners that is Ecobank Plc and MTN Nigeria which was introduced to help Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) connect to the world via the internet. (You can read more about it in our earlier post)
Google Nigeria has announced the commencement of the ‘Succeed Online’ training series which is geared at educating SME on how to reach out to the world with a better understanding of the use of Internet.
The Marketing Manager, SME Products, Ms. Bunmi Banjo, said in a statement that the goal of the ‘Succeed Online’ training series was to educate small and medium owners on crucial tips that would help boost the impact of their online presence. She went further saying, “Having a website gives businesses an opportunity to showcase their goods and services. They can further benefit from a comprehensive online presence, which includes good use of social media, listings and blogs, among others. These tools are available to them at no cost.”
Who can participate?
The “Succeed Online” training programme is opened to existing websites owners under the GBNO initiative who have expressed interest in enhancing their online presence.
What to Expect?
Participants at the training programme will learn;
- Using Google trader for the listing of their products and services for interested buyers.
- Connecting with customers, merchants and so on via Google+, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.
- Audiovisual interaction with customers via YouTube among others.
Guess non-GBNO users are sad right now, well don’t be as Google has promised to post as many tips and tricks on improving websites and building an effective online presence on the internet. All that you are required to do is simple GOOGLE it.
