Yes as the heading reads, Google has increased the file attachment capabilities of its Gmail service. Before now, users could only attach up to 25MB (which was previously 10MB) but with the recent development, you can now attach up to 10GB directly through its Google Drive cloud storage service.

Google delivers extensive Cloud updates

Intensifying the competition between itself and Amazon’s leading Web Services (AWS), Google has delivered extensive upgrades to its cloud computing technology.

The firm has added 36 new types of server to its rentable cloud infrastructure. The incoming updates to Google Compute Engine, the search engine titan’s infrastructure-as-a-service technology, sees the prices of its main four instances reduced by around five percent.

The diskless configuration’s instances enables developers to rent lower-cost instances for applications that aren’t required to feature a dedicated disk attached to their server, but can handle a separate ‘persistent’ disk.

Google is also set to launch technology named ‘durable reduced availability’ storage as a limited preview. While the company didn’t divulge the exact reduction amount, the product reduces the cost of storing data but with lower availability.

In addition, Google is adding ‘persistent disk snapshotting’, allowing administrators to create a backup of their persistent stored data. It can then be moved to Google data centres around the world in order to help create multi-continent applications.

Simple way to lock or unlock screen rotation on iPhone 4 or 4s.

Need to sleep and felt like watching a late night movie on your iPhone 4 or 4s or you just want your phone to display in the landscape mode. Owners of earlier version of the iPhone could simply do this by setting a button to lock rotation under the General tab but 3rd generation and above owners have been denied this one click option. So we thought we should show you a simple way to lock or unlock rotation on iPhone 4 and above. Follow the steps below to do this.

1. Double click the home button to bring up the multitasking bar.
2. Swipe right until the last set of icons is displayed in the multitasking bar (these will include play/pause and skip buttons for iPod or Pandora).
3. The furthest left icon looks like a circular arrow – touch this icon to enable or disable rotation lock on the iPhone.
4. A rotation lock icon will appear in the status bar next to the battery charge icon when rotation lock is enabled.  This looks like a circular arrow around a padlock.
