So What Next?

Users of the Windows Live Messenger are advised to upgrade to Skype and sign in using their existing Microsoft login details i.e. Windows Live ID. Once you have successfully logged in, all your Messenger contacts will be added to the Skype contact.

Desktop users of the Windows Live Messenger are required to simply click on the banner notifying them of the upgrade and this will automatically uninstall the application.
