Android Apps On Your BlackBerry

BlackBerry’s strong (possibly strongest) point remains security, the same can’t be said for the number of apps available to the platform. Yes, there are a number of popular apps just as they exist on other mobile OS but that’s about it. That’s probably why the Blackberry OS 10 allows users to install Android apps.

The functionality isn’t new but we found something on CrackBerry that appears to make it easier. Try it out and lets hear your comments on our channels below.

Blackberry Messenger Now Available for Android and iOS (Updated)

Yes the wait is finally over. As owners of android and iOS devices can now download and install the blackberry messenger on their devices regardless of your region.

Blackberry had initially limited the app to few countries but at this moment everyone can download the app by going to either Google Play (Android users) or iTunes (iOS users).

Download the app>>launch the app>>enter your email address>> just follow the steps afterwards.

Violà! You should be pinging on your non blackberry device.

You can also download the version for your iPad.

Note: the minimum requirement for your device➡️ ➡️➡️ Android 4.0 and iOS 6 or higher is required.

BlackBerry Q10

q10

Chances are that a number of you have either purchased or had some hands-on experience with BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry’s latest device running the conveniently named OS; BlackBerry 10.  While you’re still catching your breath with the departure from what you been used to (the physical  keyboard and OS) for so long, the follow-up – Q10, is soon to  hit our shores (or stores) to address your tactile cravings.

Of course, you can always pre-order from online stores or have some benevolent relative or friend send it to you if you’ll rather have it sooner than later. But, we recommend waiting as prices will fall…they always do. Look at the Z10 now, its well under N94,000.00!

To help you make up your mind on whether to go with the full touch screen on the Z10 or keyboard and touch screen with the Q10 (similar to your Bolds, Curves…) here’s an incisive review to help you decide.

Choosing a Tablet

Tabs

Except you’ve been under a rock for the past year or so, you’ll know that slates are all the rage particularly that from the fruit company. Although, it’s no longer plain sailing not if the South Korean chaebol has any thing to say about it.

Of course, you shouldn’t get one because you want to keep up with the Joneses or say “me too” to your boss (which could get you “redeployed”, even “downsized!”). It can actually do much more. (more…)

BBM Voice (UPDATE!!!)

While its gearing up for the January 2013 release of the BlackBerry 10 OS, RIM has released something to whet the taste buds of its customers. The ubiquitous mobile messaging service; BBM, has hit version 7 which means it will come with some improvement (or maybe just a security patch)

The more interesting news is that BlackBerry users will now be able to make voice calls over a Wi-Fi network through BBM…for free! Now you can LOL for real 😀 (more…)
