Resolving Sync and Erase Issue with Apple Devices. (Updated)

Caveat! With the new iTunes 12, Apple has decided to change the procedure to sync your purchases from one iTunes Library to another.  In order for you to successfully sync your purchases between the iTunes libraries, all that you need to do is to connect your iDevice to your MacBook or PC (for Windows users) and thereafter click on File>>>Devices>>>Sync (Name of Device).  This would transfer all your purchases to the new iTunes.

Sending Emails with Undisclosed Recipients

Ever wonder how the sender sent you a mail with “Undisclosed Recipients” in the “To” column. Well let’s demystify the magic and show you are to perform the magic.

Depending on your mail programme or service i.e. Gmail, Windows Mail, Mac OS X Mail etc.

  1. Open your contact>> Create a new contact by entering the following details.
  2. First name “Undisclosed” and Last name “Recipients”;

How to Partition a Hard Drive in Windows 8 and 8.1?

Why would you want to partition your  Windows 8 or 8.1 hard drive

  • make full use of disk space
  • convenient sorting of different kinds of files and documents and
  • ensuring smooth running of your computer .

1. There is only one partition on the hard drive.

For instance, you need to store media files on your hard drive and there’s only one partition on your hard drive, you will have to partition (literally divide)  the hard drive into different sizes to suit your needs. (more…)

Get The Windows Start Button Back on Windows 8

Note: The below information applies to the original release of Windows 8. If you update to Windows 8.1 Microsoft has added the Start button that will give you the ability to get to the Start Screen. This doesn’t return the Start Menu, but if you’re ok with the Start Screen and just want the Start button we recommend getting Windows 8.1. If you have Windows 8.1 or want the Start Menu follow the below steps.

Microsoft is committed to having everyone use the Start screen instead of the Start button and start menu found in previous versions of Windows and therefore has no setting to enable or disable the start button. (more…)

Using Android File Transfer on Mac OS

Having issues with Android File Transfer (AFT) on your Mac OS device or are you getting error messages whenever you connect your Android device to the Macbook or iMac? Worry no more as the solution is quite simple.

Before you can use AFT on your Mac, ensure that you have uninstalled Samsung Kies before you proceed. Dragging and dropping the application in the trash won’t uninstall it. You need to use the installer to successfully uninstall the application. (See image below)

Once done with uninstalling of the Samsung Kies, simply install AFT and connect your Android device. You should be able to access files and folders on your device.

Access Your Google Drive Document While Offline

Internet outages and long plane rides shouldn’t prevent you from working in Google Drive. Set up offline access so that the next time you’re offline you’ll still be able to view Google documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and drawings, shuffle folders around, and edit files stored in your Google Drive folder.

Jelly Bean on HTC Sensation XL
