Sending Emails with Undisclosed Recipients

Ever wonder how the sender sent you a mail with “Undisclosed Recipients” in the “To” column. Well let’s demystify the magic and show you are to perform the magic.

Depending on your mail programme or service i.e. Gmail, Windows Mail, Mac OS X Mail etc.

  1. Open your contact>> Create a new contact by entering the following details.
  2. First name “Undisclosed” and Last name “Recipients”;
  3. Enter your email address or any other email address. Hit the save or enter button. (more…)

SMTP Error Message on Apple Mail. Thunderbird to the rescue

We receive mails and other correspondence from our mac users who have experienced difficulties in setting up or using their Hotmail account and other customised email account on Apple Mail. We have also tried searching the internet for possible way out or around this. We tried several options until we came in contact with a wonderful app called “THUNDERBIRD”.

With Thunderbird all you need to do is to enter your Name, Email address and Password. Once you have entered the necessary details, just click on the “Continue” button and wait for the program to search for EMail providers and Mozilla ISP providers.

Configure Your Mobile device to Fetch Your Mails with Either POP or IMAP

To configure your mobile device i.e. tablets, phablets, phones and PDAs to fetch your mails from your email service provider’s server, you have the option to choose between IMAP and POP.

What is IMAP?

This simply means Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) a protocol for e-mail retrieval.

What is POP?

Post Office Protocol (POP) is an application-layer Internet standard protocol used by local e-mail clients to retrieve e-mail from a remote server over a TCP/IP connection.

POP and IMAP are two different protocols used to access email. POP and IMAP function very differently and each has its own advantages. POP is useful in checking emails from a computer that is in a specific location. IMAP is the better option when you need to check your emails from multiple locations, such as at work, from home, or on the road, using different computers.

Blackberry Bold 9700 Email setup problem

Having problems setting up your desired email on your Blackberry Bold 9700. Well you can try out this quick fix. Follow the steps below:

1. Go to mobile.blackberry.com.

2. Scroll down until you see “Communications”   Then click “Email”.

3. Scroll until you see your email provider (Yahoo, Windows or GMail or select other).

For example: If you choose GMAIL and click on “Integrate Now” under the GMail heading. Follow the instructions and after which a message would be sent to your email.
