Resolving Playstation issues with Samsung Tvs- Flickering Pictures

In our earlier post, we talked about the flickering issues experienced with a Samsung TV. We have been able to find a NO TOOL method i.e. no need to unscrew your TV.

To fix this issue follow the instructions below;:

With the TV in standby, press the {INFO} {MENU} {MUTE} {POWER} buttons on the remote (not together but one after the other). Remember to point the remote toward the InfraRed light on the TV.

Once the TV comes back on, you will see the service menu table. Look for Control> Config Option> Spread Spect>Turn It off. (See image below)

Spread Spect

Exit the Service Menu and connect the Playstation to the TV.

You can now enjoy playing your favourite games and HD content without experiencing any flickering.

Using Android File Transfer on Mac OS

Having issues with Android File Transfer (AFT) on your Mac OS device or are you getting error messages whenever you connect your Android device to the Macbook or iMac? Worry no more as the solution is quite simple.

Before you can use AFT on your Mac, ensure that you have uninstalled Samsung Kies before you proceed. Dragging and dropping the application in the trash won’t uninstall it. You need to use the installer to successfully uninstall the application. (See image below)

Once done with uninstalling of the Samsung Kies, simply install AFT and connect your Android device. You should be able to access files and folders on your device.

One of the Samsung Galaxy S4 in our office just started restarting itself last week after installing Facebook (mind you the Facebook app has nothing to do with the phone restarting) and the battery life drops from whatever percentage it is to 0%.

  • Uninstalling third-party apps
  • Removing the battery and re-inserting it
  • Removing the SD card and starting the phone without it
  • Resetting to factory settings
  • Performing a hard reset by wiping cache and formatting the phone (more…)
